At last - proper solution to cup holder for 996/986 generation of Porsche.

To date there have been several attempts but none that provided secure, sturdy and ergonomic solution to place your drink when enjoying the winding roads or just going to work.

RENNDITION cup holder consist of two parts:
- Base - which replaces the side trim in center console. It uses original mounting points (4 tabs held by metal clips) which keep it strongly secured in place
- Cup holder insert - Which clips into the base. Cup holder features a cutout to fit mugs with a handle as well as spring loaded tab to keep in place containers of smaller diameter.

Having base and cup holder as separate units, provides few advantages:
- Cup holder can be removed if it gets in a way of passenger or is temporarily not needed.
- Future expansion - phone mount, additional gauges (remove for street use, put in for track day), etc (Please message me if you have ideas)

Installation does not require any tools or modification and it's 100% reversible.
- To remove existing trim piece, use your fingers to pull away starting at the bottom at the front or back, it may require little force as these clips hold it tight. Don't bend upwards too much. Once bottom clips let go, slide fingers under to release the remaining ones. As a reference for location of the tabs use RENNDITION base.
- Make sure all 4 rectangular holes in center console have the metal clips, if some are missing you will need to purchase replacement, P/N for those is 99950747601. It's important to have all 4 in good shape to keep the base snug and secure.
- Snap new base in place straight on, making sure tabs are aligned with holes
- Finally slide the cup holder all the way in.
- Enjoy your favorite drink while you take the car for a spin :)
