Campaigned throughout the 70's and 80's on various Porsche motorsport cars, the Campagnolo 40802 has been reimagined with motorsport once again in mind, as well as usability, with the added benefit of tyre availability in 16".
Manufactured using AlSi7 primary alloy, then heat treated, this improves the mechanical properties and is primarily used in motorsport applications. The alloy undergoes a degassing pretreatment which limits the presence of oxygen, this in turn minimizes cavities in the casting.
All wheels are subject to strict controls, such as X-ray inspection and pressure testing to verify the quality of the castings.
