Porsche Porsche 986/987/996/997 Crankshaft Carrier Through Bolt Kit. The factory carrier bolts are torque to yield (TTY) and must be replaced. This ARP crankshaft carrier thru-bolt kit features bolts that are stronger (and reusable) to help prevent shuffling and fretting of the main bearing saddles common to engines that see high performance driving or have been increased in displacement. Optional for street and required for the track.
We also recommend using coated main and rod bearings on all Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models with the M96/M97 engine for reduced wear and longer bearing life, not to mention an additional layer of protection against oil starvation and aeration related damage.
