I’m glad you asked for review of the upper & lower latch set. When I installed the latch I proceeded to follow factory manual for setting the latch mechanism, it telles you to put a 4mm pin or rod thru the latch to set the lever to hold the latch in the closed position the pull the release cable tight and clamp the cable with the set screw in that position. There are 3 layers of metal the pin needs to go thru to align the lever. The middle layer of the latch was not drilled. I had to remove the latch and move the lever out of the way so I could drill the middle layer to allow the pin to pass thru all three layers. Once I drilled the middle layer I reinstalled the latch and cable. I then mover the lever into the latched position and was able to put the pin in place for the proper alignment of the latching mechanisim.
