• Larger Rotor Size: Features a 325 mm rotor, slightly larger than the OEM size, providing increased braking force and improved cooling capacity.
• Premium U.S. Aluminum Hat: The central hat section of the rotor is constructed from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-specification aluminum.
• Proprietary U.S. Cast Iron Disc: The brake disc is made from Girodisc's own proprietary cast iron, poured and machined entirely in-house in the USA.
• Enhanced Cooling Design: Features a curved vane design, developed in racing, that acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
• Floating Mount System: Utilizes a floating mount system between the rotor and hat.
• High-Strength Drive Pins: Employs 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and cadmium plated for corrosion resistance.
• Load-Bearing Pins: These drive pins handle the load from braking forces while allowing axial and radial movement between the hat and disc.
• Secure Fastening: The pins are secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers.
• Anti-Noise Spring Washers: Incorporates anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side of the pins to prevent cold-start rattling and noise associated with floating rotors, while still allowing for thermal expansion.
• Self-Centering Rotor: The floating design enables the rotor to self-center between the brake pads.
