Wurth Rust Converter (1L)

This is a 1-liter container of Wurth Rust Converter, a dispersion-based product designed to prepare rusted surfaces for painting and coating.   

Key Features:

• Rust Stabilization: Penetrates rust and converts it into a stable, insoluble, blue-black metallo-organic complex, halting the corrosion process.   
• Paint Preparation: Provides an optimized surface for subsequent painting.   
• Fast Drying & Paintable: Can be painted over with most solvent-based metal protective paints after just 3 hours.   
• Filler Compatible: Suitable for being covered with filler.   
• Lower Hazard: Dispersion-based formula has a lower hazard potential compared to some solvent-based rust converters.   
• 50-State Compliant: Meets regulations in all US states.   

Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation:

   • Clean the surface, ensuring it's dry and grease-free.   
   • Remove loose rust, paint, and dirt with a wire brush, scraper, etc.   

2. Application:

   • Apply a thin, even layer with a brush or roller. Avoid runs.
   • Paint over within 48 hours.
   • Allow for a reaction time of three hours before painting.   
   • Mask off areas not to be treated.   

Important Notes:

• Do Not Wash: Do not wash treated surfaces with water.   
• Immediate Cleanup: Immediately remove rust converter from painted surfaces if it comes into contact
• Application Conditions: Do not use in direct sunlight, on hot surfaces (over 101°F/40°C), or when there is a risk of frost.   
• Frost Protection: Protect the product from freezing.   
• Tool Cleaning: Clean application tools with water after use.
